The International Thespian Society consists of over 130,000 active theatre students and over 2 million lifelong members. We participate in Festivals through which we receive professional feedback on performance and technical pieces. This is a picture from when District Critic's Choice awards were posted in 2019.
This past summer, I was elected by my peers at the International Thespian Festival to serve as one of the six International Thespian Officers (ITO) for the 2020-2021 term.
I chaired the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Subcommittee on the ITO Board as well as on the International Thespian Student Leadership Council (ITSLC) to advocate for more welcoming environments for theatre students all over the world.
My first time attending and participating in the International Thespian Festival, I received the first international title in Northwest Florida.
A Thespy Award is the highest level of achievement for a high school theatre student. I received a perfect score in the category of contrasting monologues.
I'm incredibly grateful for the aid I have received from EdTA, Bay Education Foundation, and more to help me pursue my craft.
From thespian festival grants to college scholarships, I will never forget those who have helped me along my journey.
